Excerpts from the Major's Journal

Major Basil Haversham, OBE

The Major, as he is so fondly known in Europe, is the quintessential Englishman. He is from the old school, naturally, but more than comfortable with the modern ways; especially as they apply to his passion – golfing expeditions and the exclusive pleasures they provide.

Major Haversham has dedicated his life to learning the most intricate details about the finest golf destinations in the worldsuch as St. Andrews in Scotland, and then passing them on to those who share his adventurous spirit.

He is as familiar with the contents of Sunningdale's wine cellar as he is with the vagaries of England's most revered Heathland golf course, and he describes the Surry Club's house claret as "a deliciously ordinary, yet somehow interesting little wine."

Being a gentleman whose peerage is far deeper than his bank account, the Major is accustomed to looking at things from the perspective of a world traveler who does not have the benefit of an unlimited budget. He well and fully understands the difference between price and value, and which things in life one should not compromise in favor of frugality.

The Major, in conjunction with Sam Baker, Founder and CEO of Haversham & Baker Golfing Expeditions, cordially invites you, the discerning golf travel connoisseur, to permit him the honour of providing you with a custom planned value-filled golf holiday to Europe. He promises, as a gentleman, your venture will be filled with new experiences that you shall never forget, and most assuredly will not regret.

“The Major is currently on an excursion across the pond and will be returning shortly to provide us with an excerpt from this most recent trip.”
